Lost and deleted data that has not been backed up will be overwritten after the iTunes or Finder restore, which will lead to permanent data lose.
5. iTunes or Finder backup files take up large storage space of your hard drive. However, you are asked never to move the Backup folder to a different folder, external drive, or network drive as it may lead to the restoration failure.
6. Data synced from Finder or iTunes, like imported MP3s or CDs, videos, books, and photos, is not included in the backup files. Thus, you cannot restore this data from the backup when restoring.
7. You are not allowed to restore partial data of an iTunes or Finder backup to the iPhone.

Cons:

1. Free Storage is limited to 5GB. Nowadays, such storage is not enough for most Apple users, especially for those who use iCloud to back up their photos or videos, or have more than one iOS or iPadOS devices. If more storage space is required, you’ll need to pay a subscription for either 50GB, 200GB or 2TB.
2. When there is no enough storage available, the iCloud backup will fail. A failed backup message can be irritating, inconvenient and time-consuming to fix.
3. Keep your data on the cloud may increase the risk of data leak.
4. Both Wi-Fi network and power source are needed.
5. Files in the apps cannot be backed up.
6. You need to erase the device and set it up as new before the restoration.
7. The iPhone’s software version should be up to date.
8. The data missing after the last iCloud backup will lose permanently, as the software update and erasure before the iCloud restoration might completely overwrite the lost data. No opportunity is given for other iPhone retrieval software to scan the device directly instead of extracting from backup files.
